Awesomeeee!! Super good food and awesome people :3
Menu looked promising but the place was really understaffed. We waited for half an hour only to discover our food was not even started, so we walked out to find other food.
Pretty good food and good price for downtown.
Easily the worst curry I have ever had, beyond salty, beef was very dry, potatoes where huge and I asked them multiple times to make the curry mild and it ended up being way too spicy for my stomach to handle. I grew up with a Thai family who owns one of the best restaurants in Omaha and the curry they make is amazing. I mentioned this to the lady taking my order and she said that "Omaha's Thai is much better then ours but our chinese food is the best". Then why the Hell would you call your restaurant THAI GARDEN?
Very mild food compare to Thai food places in the Northeast. Also it was wierd that when we ordered red curry chicken and shrimp tempura she said those are not available today. Half of the items we requested were not available. But the review is bad because food is extremely mild and not spicy at all like Thai food should be.. even outside of spiciness level, the food just wasn't as tasty as we would like.
Good food for the price..especially for downtown. Quick and yummy. Lots of choices with a lot of flavor.
Pretty good for a big group, nice food tofu a bit meh. Chicken damn good
A great low key place in Downtown Lincoln with tasty Thai food for a low price.
This place is OK. I love Thai food so am pretty picky. The flavors are good but it seemed like they mixed fresh vegetables with frozen ones or something. I did really enjoy the Thai iced coffee. It is one of the few in town and better than a couple of the others.
I've been at least 4 times now. As a vegan, it's wonderful having a place in Lincoln that has multiple filling options. The service has never been bad. The food is also super tasty.
Great food, could use an update on furniture, and service was a little slow, but I find that's worth it as long as the food is good!
Good portion size and the amount of spice in their "medium" tofu curry didn't blow the roof of my mouth off but had a pleasant kick to it.
Local restaurant in downtown Lincoln. Authentic Thai and Asian food. They can be slow for lunch depending on how many people they have working that day. Depending on who is cooking, you can or can't substitute items on the lunch menu, so it can be a little random. Wait staff only comes to take your order and drop off food. You have to find them if you need something else or refills of drinks. I had the sweet and sour chicken and egg flower soup and it was very good.
It was really good but they were out of what I originally ordered.
Vegetarian dishes are very plain and tasteless. I cannot comment on the other dishes, but the pad see ew was the most flavorless Thai dish I've ever had.
The spicy basil pork had zero basil in it from what I could tell. The chicken fried rice had way too much soy sauce. There is soy sauce on the table, they could start with less. Nice atmosphere though.
this was my first visit to Thai Garden. The recommendation to order from the Chinese, rather than the Thai menu, took me by surprise. I wasn't disappointed. I did find the Kung Pao chicken less spicy than I'm used to, but it was quite loaded with things I love- chicken, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. The personal attention and recommendations for future selections from the staff just blew me away. I will definitely be back!
I ordered the Tom K. Soup. It was very spicy. It seemed to be pepper, chopped cabbage in perhaps a chicken broth. I liked it even though it was rather simple. I ordered the garlic chicken. Big mistake, I meant to order the ginger chicken. It was supposed to have mushrooms, baby corn and other things. Also it was spicy. I got them mixed up. To me garlic chicken would be spicy and ginger would be mild. The garlic chicken I accidentally ordered reminded me of a limited ingredient princess chicken. Very bland. Perhaps it had sliced celery and bamboo slices. Also chicken. I didn't taste the garlic but sometimes I don't if it isn't strong.
Great food in a small cozy setting.
The most non pad thai tasting pad thai I've had. Service was pretty decent however, although a bit slow, but I don't think I'll ever come back, especially when Noodle's and Co is a block away and has much better tasting pad thai.
Authentic food. Very good service.
For a Thai restaurant they have a limited selection for vegetarians. Even things on the menu that don't specifically list meat as an ingredient, might have meat in them, so it's important to ask your server. The dishes are not as flavorful as other restaurants. Thai is typically spicy and bold but my dish was lacking both. Atmosphere and service were also lacking. However, on the up side, prices are a little lower than average and there is never a wait for seating.
My husband and I ordered Spicy Basil Chicken and Cashew Chicken. It seemed more like Spicy Basil Onion, rather than Chicken. The dishes were overloaded with onions and cashews with hardly any meat. The flavor was not terrible, but I wouldn't be ordering something if all I get is bunch of onions in a sauce. Save your money and look for better options.
Food is decent but service is terrible. I was literally told I couldn't sit at a particular table (in a busy setting), and then another couple came in and were seated just minutes after I asked.
We are here for lunch. The pad Thai was flavorless and oily, and the kung pow shrimp had a rotten flavor which had to be sent back because I couldn’t eat it.
Cozy Thai restaurant with Korean dishes on the menu, too. My Shrimp Pad Thai had nice sized shrimp and tasty noodles. Will definitely go again and try some of the other dishes. The curries looked interesting.
Great meal. Service was slow, but they were very busy!
Good place, good food. We went on a Monday, pretty slow. We had friendly service, a good experience.
Great meal. Service was slow, but they were very busy!
Great food
I have never had a bad experience at this place. The food is delicious and if anything is wrong they are quick to fix it. Just had the Tom Yum Tofu and it is my new favorite dish.
My experience was not positive. Casual employees packed me some watered down rangoon sauce and my food was room temperature.
This place is not even close to Thai food ( I lived in Thailand for 4 years ), but is good enough to survive. The good thing about this place is its decent Chinese food for a great price compared to everything around here.
I went here for lunch today. I was doing business in lincoln and I figured I'd try something new. Only one word can accurately describe the food here. INCREDIBLE. Forget Chinese, Mexican or pizza! This is the place to go for absolutely delicious food. I had the Red Beef Curry and it was the perfect blend and balance of flavor and spices . OH and their Thai tea? Let's just say if I lived there (in lincoln) I'd try to at least be there once a week for lunch and once a week for supper. I haven't even tried their supper menu but if the lunch was this amazing then I have no doubt their supper one is even better. Looks like it would be a nice place for any kind of date and/or family outing. Give this place a try folks. I'd put money down saying you won't be disappointed!
Great little place. Food was good. Not mind-blowing, but it didn't have to be. Nice and quiet. Very polite staff. Good pricing. I'll go again, and I'm not even that into Thai food.
The service was very good. Their spicy chicken is great!
Everything I have tried here is good.
Extremely awful green curry and fresh spring rolls. Don't waste your money and time. Just go to blessings Thai, their curries and spring rolls are ridiculously better. Also what kind of peanut sauce was that? Disgusting
The owner is Chinese and this place has a Chinese chef and maybe a Thai chef. Never had Thai food there but the Chinese food is authentic. Almost all the Chinese dishes are highly recommended. Some are quite spicy, so ask the waiters before you order. Service may be a little slow, but I am there for food, so it does not annoy me as much.
NiceThai restaurant that easy to miss. Good selection on the menu and reasonable prices.
Good food and friendly service. They don't over due the sauce which is nice.
Do not waste your money. I spent $57 on three entrees and 3 appetizers. The pad Thai is EXTREMELY bland and discolored. The yellow curry with chicken was in an absolute tiny portion, expensive, and tastes disgusting (threw it in the trash) The spring rolls had one little baby shrimp cut up into 4 pieces and the rest was mushy rice noodles and the sauce was maybe one tablespoon of peanut dipping sauce. The dumplings we ordered came with just soy sauce. Who serves dumplings with soy sauce? This by far is one of the worst restaurants in Lincoln in my oppinion. Take what you want from this review, but I will never come back and will let everyone I know that this place isn’t even sub par but straight terrible.
i have come here few times now and it has been decent so far. today i went online and called in my order i asked for FRESH SPRING ROLL they gave me THAI SPRING ROLL i called and talked about how i received the wrong order and they said they would replace. they did but the lady working said i ordered wrong saying it was called FRESH ROLL the website and menu there says FRESH SPRING ROLL and they acted like i was the one wrong......it was very rude but i will still recommend with caution.
First time eating at a Thai restaurant. I had food delivered. Tasted great. Hot. Only issue was soy sauce was spilled out of the little containers. I would eat here again.
This is a no frills lunch place. The food is good. If you're looking for spicy, all you have to do is ask for more spices. It is definitely mild flavor. I had shrimp pad thai with egg drop soup and it was good.
This place is really great. Very friendly service. The curries are very delicious. The hot jasmine tea is better than many places I've been as well!Yahuah bless you all!
I’ve been eating here since I was 16 and always love the food and sauces. I moved away and make it a point to visit every time I come back through visiting friends and family. Though the food today was good, but everything for the first time was changed. The peanut sauce tasted store bought and out of a jar. Not good. The crab Rangoon used to come with a clear fish sauce that had peanuts in it, this was replaced with red sweet and sour sauce. Not good. I ordered Rama Tofu for my dish and the same lackluster peanut sauce was used. My parents were with and both loved their food. Anyone who hasn’t been for a while will be dissatisfied with the quality of the food compared to the old flavor. 25 years I’ve been eating at Thai Gardens even before they moved to the 13th street location, since 1994. I won’t be back again, only because I make the food at home to the style they made it and that’s the taste I want.
Not good at all. By far the most bland food I have ever had. The crab rangoons barley had filling. And the sauce was just a drip. My garlic chicken was disgusting. And my boyfriend shrimp pad Thai was disgusting. Never coming to this place EVER again. Not worth it. There’s better places out there. Save your money
